Perfection Condemns👌

John 5:45-4

 Jesus says more:

45 "Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you-Moses, in whom you trust.

46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about me.

47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"

Comments:

Back in v27 Jesus says His Father, "...gave Him authority to execute judgement." But v45 He says He will not accuse His listeners" (Who were the Jewish religious leaders.)

The Commandments God gave thru Moses, accuse all of us. They convince us of sin. They show us we can not keep them. Many try to keep the law and feel content with some good things they do. Others just ignore Moses writing. Regardless the commands condemn us.

Jesus does not need to judge men. Our ignorance, rejection, denial & inability to keep the Commandments all bring us judgement. He is not bragging. He is just stating truth.

When the US President suggested he could beat America's legendary wrestler, Dan Gable, Dan was not bragging to answer, "You don't have a chance." Dan's history verifies his reply. Excellence exposes lesser levels.

Jesus' miracles, teachings, resurrection and more prove His claims. And His perfection accuses us, because we are not. He need not say a word.
