Father Son Pride👨‍👦

 Some might think Jesus was bragging in His response to being judged for healing a man & telling him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk."

No, He tells the truth,

He is educating,

He is enlightening,

He is giving reasons to believe Him.

Important issue is: What will we do with the truth we know about Him?

John 5:17-18

17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, & I have been working.”

18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

 Here Jesus connects Himself with His Father. What proud son won't identify with his dad?

 Next time we will see 3 claims Christ makes. When we know the credentials of someone we know how to give them respect.

Give Him Respect.
