Freak Show Owns the Mats!

Amongst Nation’s Best Youth Events

By Bill X. Barron – RMN Events Writer

With well over 3500 competitors, the Freak Show offers a prelude to the upcoming winter season with the highest level of competition in age groups as young as six and as old as the Open Division for those older than 18.  Always sold out, the Freak Show is an astounding mix of cross-country talent!  Thousands of youth wrestlers from 39 states and Canada, including Alaska and Hawaii, travel to Las Vegas every 3rd weekend in October to test their best against the best.  Speaking of the best, you will not find better women’s wrestling anywhere!

Amit Elor, a nationally ranked female high school competitor from California, declares: “I love RMN Events!  Can’t get enough of them!  There are so many reasons!  RMN Events are enjoyable because the events have large venues with large crowds; they are well-organized and on time, have fun graphic design themes, and exciting opening ceremonies with light shows and smoke.  I love the staff and referees.  The referees are professional; I trust them to stop a match in dangerous situations, which is something I worry about.  The awards are exciting; they really motivate me to compete for them.”

World Team Member, G’Angelo Hancock, a 3-time junior and 2-time senior national Greco champion, proclaims: “While growing up, Rocky Mountain National Events was the place to be, the big thing to win.  Not only was RMN where I could get a huge trophy, but it also prepared me for the big stage.  I thank RMN Events for the opportunity to grow as a person.  RMN Events taught me to have a champion mindset, for which I am forever grateful.  Ultimately, I believe that the sport of wrestling helps you grow as an individual, boy or girl.  RMN Events provided me with that chance.”

Not only do the competitors come from diverse regions, but we also bring in the highest caliber of an official.  Hailing from 20 states, many of these referees have worked with you in all three styles across the country in all sorts of national sites, including several RMN Events.  Learn more about them in their bios posted on the officials’ page on the RMN Events website.

As Official Mark Levasseur, an experienced senior-level competitor and the 3-style referee says: “RMN Events does put on a great opportunity for the athletes to get top-level competition and to be officiated by some of the best officials in the country.  Their tournaments are a fantastic measure of where the athletes are in their journey to be the best they can be.”
