Reno: Rough & Rumble, Tough & Tumble

By Bill X. Barron, RMN Events Center

Those who know wrestling … know that the Rumble in Reno on the 4th weekend of February is a winter wrestling destination for the rough and the tough! Epic battles are the norm in all age groups and in both male and female divisions. Girls flock to Reno because they know they will be tested in both depth of experience and in fully-outfitted brackets.

Wrestlers and coaches alike love the rollicking atmosphere, outstanding ceremonies, unmatched awards, and the competitive camaraderie of RMN Events. Reno’s Livestock Center amplifies your experience with its amazing amphitheater.

Reno is a year-round destination for family and team fun – whether you ski, hike, sightsee or explore, Reno has it all! Gaze and amaze at the National Automobile Museum and the Fleischmann Planetarium. Trek down tree-lined natural pathways on the Truckee River Walk! If casinos are your choice, there are plenty of options – and these are spacious and uncrowded.

In February, you can bet that the ski resorts like Mt. Rose are open and under hundreds of inches in snow. You can walk right up to all sorts of creatures at the beautifully located Animal Ark! To experience the Wild West, spend your off-time at the Reno Rodeo Cattle Drive. Make sure you allow trip time to take in all these sights!

As with every RMN Event, there is a good bet that this event will be sold out before it begins. Make your reservations early to beat the rush. If you want to weigh in early (1-2 pm), come with $20 in cash to pay at the door.
